What's this all About?

Founded in 2001, FSA is a massive celebration of UK Climbing culture. Led by design with high quality hard wearing fabrics and Authenticity at it's core. 

Gareth runs the day to day but there are many people behind the scenes who help inspire the next steps as FSA grows. 

It's later than we think so tread lightly, do good, enjoy Life, don't put off doing the thing and express yourself.

Our History

2000 Gareth wrote 'Fat Sloper Action' in permanent pen on a Metolious bouldering mat that did not belong to him

2001 FSA founded, Mark teaches Gareth how to code, we created a Website  on the Internet

2002 Locally printed quality heavy weight T-shirts, introduced the Tri-Stripe 1 and The FSA Face designs

2003 Introduced Chesney Hawkes into the team

2004 Mark emigrates to Australia, Gareth takes  sabbatical with Climbing Wall manufacturer

2005 New Website, Tri-Stripe 2, The Capri, Sloper Slacks and Sloper Strike products launched with 'online ordering'

2006 We reunite in Yosemite, amazing trip but life gets reassessed 

2007-2024 Long years of grown-upping, necessary but creatively barren 

2025 New ideas flood in, the scene and it's people are even more awesome. Its Slopers 24-7 again with sauce on top

2026 Outside Hathersage/FSA Collab - a celebration of this iconic shop. FSA raises £800+ for Crisis Charity in memory of Chris Haslam - The Sloper Scientist
