The original sloper scientist
Chris lived a full bodied candle burning at both ends, curious about everything, always planning the next trip, get shit done kind of life. Could get on a level with anyone, a planner, a lover not a fighter. A lifelong supporter of FSA and sorely, sorely missed.
In 2005 (ish) Chris was the inspiration behind the original Sloper Science design, he was after all a Scientist, we dressed up as Scientists and messed around with tape measures trying to understand more about Slopers.
FSA & friends have got together to produce 'Sloper Science' - Chris Haslam Edition. All profits of this design will go to CRISIS Charity at the request of Chris' family. FSA is honoured to be able to do this in memory of this awesome bloke.
Crisis charity meant alot to Chris, helping others when they are at their lowest was a natural inclination for him.
Friendships in Climbing can be intense, you share so much together, adventures, scrapes, wild timeless times. Chris was that friend to so many.
